Purple Pinkie Day at Suwannee Primary School
When local children make a $1 contribution to Polio Plus, the Rotary Club of Live Oak marks their pinkies with the same gentian violet used around the world on NID, National Immunization Day. This is their personal symbol of one child free from polio forever. Suwannee Primary School was visited by Rotarians on Tuesday, March 4, and with their help and support Rotary was able to raise $802 which will help to save over 850 children in the world from contracting polio.
