The 66th Annual Suwannee County Chamber Banquet was held Friday, April 4, at Camp Weed Youth Pavilion. The night featured live dancing, entertainment by the Band of Brothers, giveaways, and, of course, the naming of the 2013 Citizen of the Year and Trailblazer of the Year. John Martz was named the 2013 Citizen of the Year. Martz was the former CEO of Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative and is active in many local activities. The 2013 Trailblazer of the Year went to John Wiggins. Wiggins retired from Farm Bureau Insurance in Live Oak after 32 years in 2012 and is also active in many local activities and organizations.
