The Great Suwannee River Race sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Live Oak and the Rotary Club of Live Oak held Saturday, Sept. 13 was once again an event of water fun, good natured rivalries, fast kayaks and innovative rafts! Four rafts and more than a dozen kayaks and canoes raced a seven mile course from Little River Spring to Ivey Memorial Park in Branford mostly for bragging rights on the beautiful Suwannee River. First place winner in each category also received $50.

One person kayak - Second Place - Bart Greer
Canoe - First Place - Eric Rodriguez and friend - $50
Raft - First Place - Kiwanis Club of Live Oak - $50
Raft - Second Place - Ray Touchton and crew
Most Innovative Raft - Ray Touchton and crew - $100
Brown Lantern Fun award went to The Rotary Club of Live Oak and The Kiwanis Club of Live Oak - each team will share in the $250 prize.
